Bringing a wellness program at USC to life.
During my time on the marketing team for the Dworak-Peck School of Social Work, I owned the brand and visual identity of WE-CARE, a student wellness initiative dedicated to “expanding self-care for the helping professions” through research and resources on self-care, health and wellness. Time: January 2023 - May 2024
Team: Joanna Scott, Winnie French
Tools: Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Canva
DESIGN METHODOLOGY
A calming, approachable and flexible design system.
I used the main colors and select fonts from USC’s overarching brand guidelines. However, in order to give the program a unique look while remaining focused on its mission, I made the design system (colors, patterns and motifs) as flexible as possible for my teammates to replicate in perpetuity. The four primary colors served as bases for print and formal communications, while guidelines for social were more pulled back.
As a result, the social presence of WE-CARE (now featured as “Wellness Wednesday”) is cohesive, yet expansive and soothing especially among the rest of the School’s content on Instagram and LinkedIn.
